Exceeded Every Expectation ... Will Return ASAP!
I cannot possibly express how much we adored staying at Villa Gariful. It exceeded our expectations in every possible way. The location cannot be beat (close to the ferry, in the heart of everything, but removed enough to provide privacy and a bit of tranquility), the staff is truly world class (more on that later), and the Villa is decorated beautifully with modern / clean lines so as not to detract from the beauty of the surroundings of Hvar Town. The Villa is divided into four separate apartments that can be rented separately (each with their own pluses and minuses) or all together for a group. We stayed in the first floor apartment and would choose it again when we return. Despite being on the first floor we had a beautiful view overlooking Gariful restaurant. The apartment has two small balconies (only thing missing were chairs to be able to sit out and enjoy the view). But the thing that I cannot stress enough is how incredible the staff is. Carlos was our guide / concierge and you will be hard pressed to find such an incredible host in any luxury accommodation around the world. He messaged us via WhatsApp before our arrival and asked for our arrival time and if there were any activities / reservations he could assist us with before we came. He helped us with booking chairs at Hula Hula, renting ATVs, and chartering a yacht but also provided guidance on where to get the best cup of coffee, and gave us the back story of a few of the local restaurants. Carlos alone elevated our trip from good to great. There is a prestige associated with being a guest of Gariful on the island is worth its weight in gold when out and about on the island and it made our trip one of (if not the best) we have ever taken. If you are looking for a place to stay on Hvar look no further.
