Our favourite day in Dubrovnik — Cap Camarat 9 is the real deal

My partner and I have chartered boats across the Mediterranean — in Italy, Greece, Turkey — and the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9 WA in Dubrovnik is comfortably among the finest day-charter speedboats we have been on. The walkaround design means there are sun loungers accessible from both sides, the helm station gives the skipper excellent visibility, and the boat's length of nine metres keeps it nimble enough to enter the smaller sea caves that the bigger yachts cannot reach. Our skipper was exceptional — warm, knowledgeable about the islands and their history, and clearly proud of both his boat and his coastline. A full day on this boat should be on every Dubrovnik itinerary.

The Cap Camarat 9 WA — effortless, fast, and beautifully designed

We were four friends looking for something better than the crowded group tours, and the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9 WA delivered everything we hoped for. The walkaround deck design is genuinely clever — you can move from bow to stern without awkwardness even when the boat is under way. At cruising speed she is remarkably smooth and quiet, and there is no spray even in a modest chop. Our skipper found us three completely deserted swimming spots across the Elaphiti Islands that we would never have found on a group tour. The boat had a built-in sound system, quality snorkelling equipment, and a cooler stocked with cold water and juice. A genuinely premium experience on a premium boat.

Immaculate brand-new Cap Camarat 9 — the finest speedboat on the Adriatic

We had the most extraordinary day on the Jeanneau Cap Camarat 9 WA — a brand-new boat that truly lives up to its billing as a luxury walkaround speedboat. Delivered to the fleet only this season, she was in absolutely immaculate condition: every surface spotless, the cushions pristine, and the 9-metre walkaround layout giving six passengers plenty of deck space to move freely. Our skipper navigated us around the Elaphiti Islands, stopping at a brilliant swimming cove near Sipan with extraordinary turquoise water. He had cold drinks and snorkelling gear ready throughout the day. The boat's engine powered us smoothly across the open stretches and handled the light chop effortlessly. We arrived back at Dubrovnik harbour already discussing our return visit. Extraordinary value and an extraordinary boat.
